Maria Branyas Morera lives in Catalonia, she is almost one hundred and sixteen – 115 years and 323 days old.
The Spaniard became the oldest living person and the oldest woman after the death of the nun Lucille Randon from France. Sister Andre (that was the name of the nun) died on January 17, she was 118 years old.
Morera is American by birth, according to the Book of Records. She was born in San Francisco on March 4, 1907. Her family moved to Spain when Maria was 8 years old.
For the past 22 years, the woman has been living in the Santa Maria del Tura nursing home. She remains sane and in good health.
Morera attributes his longevity to order, calmness, maintaining ties with family and friends, as well as contact with nature, emotional stability and the absence of worries and regrets. In addition, she highlighted a large amount of positivity in her life and that she avoids toxic people.
