First of all, she recommended pancakes with protein fillings – caviar, eggs, boiled or baked meat, poached or slightly salted fish. According to her, such pancakes give a feeling of satiety for a long time, while their glycemic index is low.
She also recommended not to give up sour cream, but noted that it is better to use one that has a fat content of no more than 15%. Another filling option is a mixture of low-fat cottage cheese and or curd cheese with finely chopped fresh herbs.
Rusakova also urged not to get carried away with pancakes even during Shrove Tuesday. According to her, usually 2-3 pancakes are enough for a person at one meal. At the same time, people who have problems with the gastrointestinal tract, as well as diabetics and those who are overweight, it is better to completely abandon pancakes or reduce their consumption to the maximum.
