The number of self-employed teenagers grew by 20% in a year – Kommersant

The number of self-employed Russians aged 14 to 17 exceeded 95,000 by July 1, 2023. This is 20% more than last summer.
FTS statistics are given “News”. Most often teenagers are registered as couriers and computer masters. According to the newspaper, the growth dynamics has slowed down – in the summer of 2021, 41 thousand self-employed minors were registered, in the summer of 2022 – 78 thousand.
Most of the self-employed among teenagers were registered in Moscow (20 thousand), St. Petersburg (7.7 thousand), Moscow (7.3 thousand) and Sverdlovsk (4.7 thousand) regions. The general statistics take into account the self-employed from the new regions – 13 in the DPR, 5 in the LPR, 3 in the Kherson region.
In total, 7.8 million people are registered as self-employed in Russia. From January to June, the figure rose by 1.1 million.
