According to the latest epidemiological report from the World Health Organization, over the past 28 days, the number of cases of COVID-19 and deaths from it in the world has decreased by 77% and 66%, respectively.
From January 30 to February 26, 2023, more than 4.8 million new cases and more than 39 thousand deaths were recorded, which is 76% and 66% less than in the previous 28 days. So far, more than 758 million cases of COVID-19 and more than 6.8 million deaths have been confirmed worldwide.
Earlier, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus opined that governments have the necessary tools to end the COVID-19 pandemic this year.
