Of the 66 most dangerous cases, the most were recorded in the Om River (5 cases of EVZ), the Tobol River (5 cases) and in the Ob (4 cases). Most pollution occurred in July (282 cases, of which 217 were high and 65 were extremely high) and August (277 cases, of which 206 were airborne and 71 were airborne).

In general, during the year, most often pollution of freshwater objects was detected in the Sverdlovsk region (26% of the total number of incidents). Last week, the Ural Department of Rosprirodnadzor began an inspection at JSC Yuzhuralzoloto Group of Companies (SGC) due to possible pollution of the Kurasan River in the Verkhneuralsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. The inspectors recorded an increased content of harmful substances in the water and on the soil at the site near the production site of the YuGK.
