The number of cases of COVID-19 increased in 62 regions of Russia

The incidence of COVID-19 in Russia, as follows from the report headquarters, increased in 62 regions, the number of hospitalizations – 54. In total, 49,488 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the country over the past day, which is 12% less than the day before (56,751). During the day, 2054 people were hospitalized, 91 died.
Regions leading in the number of new cases:
- Moscow – 4115 (for all time – 3,151,178);
- St. Petersburg – 3991 (1,723,627);
- Moscow region – 1314 (1,091,912);
- Sverdlovsk region – 1693 (499 805);
- Nizhny Novgorod region – 1668 (469,277).
During the day in Russia, 91 people died from COVID-19 (386,136 since the beginning of the pandemic). Most of the dead were in Moscow (27) and St. Petersburg (16). 38,595 people have recovered (42,198 the day before).
The incidence of coronavirus in Russia began to grow in July this year. Recent Poll VTsIOM showed that 55% of Russians are afraid of getting sick with COVID-19.
