Seven new forest fires have been recorded in the Tyumen region over the past day. In total, there are 17 forest fires in the region, of which three were localized on an area of ​​​​more than 384 hectares, TASS reports with reference to the department of the forest complex of the region.

Yesterday, May 8, 12 fires with a total area of ​​about 1179 hectares were recorded in the region. When extinguishing one of the fires that arose near the Tyumen village of Krasny Yar, died one person, two others were injured. Governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor since May 7 introduced state of emergency in the region. Wildfires are also raging in several other Russian regions, in particular, in the Kurgan and Sverdlovsk regions.
