The duration of the maximum distance of the competition will be 110 kilometers.
The world’s northernmost cycling marathon “Musta-Tunturi” will be held on July 22 on the Sredniy peninsula in the Pechenga district of the Murmansk region. Athletes will compete at distances of 25, 50 and 100 kilometers, according to the organizers of the event.
The peculiarity of the longest route lies in the elevation changes. In turn, the participants who will compete in the 50-kilometer race will have to climb Musta-Tunturi. The shortest track will be available not only for professionals, but also for amateurs.
“Musta Tunturi Pass is the northernmost point of the World War II front on the Sredny Peninsula and is a unique natural reserve”, — emphasize the organizers.
Formerly MK in Murmansk informed about charitable cycling competitions that took place last weekend on the territory of the Kola wind farm.
