The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, announced on his social networks that our region is among the leaders in the development of mini-football. This is evidenced by the successes of Nizhny Novgorod professional teams performing in different divisions of the Russian Championship and Championship. Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo is among the best teams in the Super League, and Normanochka has won the Russian Women’s Championship twice in a row.
Another indicator of interest in mini-football in the Nizhny Novgorod region was the holding of friendly matches of the Russian men’s team on the floor of the Meshchersky sports and recreation center. On February 1, the Russians played against rivals from Uzbekistan and won with a score of 4:2. Ivan Obzhorin, a futsal player from Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, played on the floor as part of the Russian national team.
The return match between Russia and Uzbekistan will take place on February 3. The meeting is scheduled to start at 15:00 Moscow time.
