The next search season “Memory Watch” has started in Russia

The opening ceremony of the search season of the Moscow region as part of the all-Russian campaign “Memory Watch-2024” was held on April 13 on the territory of the Federal War Memorial “Pantheon of Defenders of the Fatherland” in Mytishchi.
The ceremony was attended by more than 700 activists of search teams and patriotic associations of the Moscow region, members of the Federation Council, State Duma deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the government of the Moscow region, and the All-Russian public movement “Search Movement of Russia”.
According to the acting director of the Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for perpetuating the memory of those killed defending the Fatherland, Andrei Taranov, more than 380 search expeditions are planned in 2024, including 94 in the Moscow region and 10 within the framework of the “Battle for Moscow” project with government support Moscow region.
In addition, there will be a traditional motor rally of search engines of the Moscow region, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad and the liberation of Petrozavodsk.
In the Moscow region there are 12 search associations, which include 113 search teams – that’s more than 3 thousand search engines.
In 2923, search engines in the Moscow region conducted more than 300 expeditions to the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, more than 100 of them in the Moscow region. Here the remains of 210 people were found and buried with full honors, and the names of three defenders of the Motherland were established.
In total, search engines in the Moscow region buried more than eight hundred soldiers on the territory of our country, and established the names of forty-three people.
