The Ministry of Defense announced the surrender of an elite unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Vodyanoye
Soldiers of the elite 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were captured by the Russian military in the area of the village of Vodyanoye in the Avdeevsky direction. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. It is noted that nine Ukrainian soldiers surrendered.
The prisoners of war said that their commanders had never been to the front lines, and assigned tasks to their units “remotely” via radio communication.
“Our superiors don’t care about us; they don’t want to go to positions to assess the situation,” said one of the prisoners of war.
Some said that the command used the fighters as “cannon fodder”, regardless of the colossal losses.
