That week, the opening ceremony of a new sports and recreation center took place in Kich-Gorodok. Acting Governor Georgy Filimonov attended the event.
The residents themselves decided to build a sports facility during the Town Planning Council. The regional government has allocated 350 million rubles for these purposes. The work was carried out with municipal co-financing.
FOC meets modern requirements. There are rooms for boxing, aerobics, and a gym. The institution will soon have sections for various sports, including boxing, football, basketball, kickboxing, table tennis, and cross-country skiing. Groups are already being formed.
From September 1, when a license is received and teachers are trained, the institution will become the base for a children’s and youth sports school.
