The new Prime Minister of Italy, George Meloni, during her speech in the lower house of parliament with a keynote speech, stated that Rome will continue to be a reliable partner of NATO.
“Italy will remain a reliable partner of the North Atlantic Alliance,” she said, adding that Rome would also continue to support Ukraine.
Meloni also stressed that Italy remains a full part of the West and its allied system.
Earlier it became known that Meloni made her first trip as Prime Minister of Italy to Brussels, where, among other things, she met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
In turn, the new Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, after taking office, held the first telephone conversations with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba.
