The administration of the Sokolsky district announced a new personnel decision to invite Svetlana Vasilyeva, who has extensive experience in hockey sports, to work as director of a sports institution.
Recall that the Ice Palace in Sokol was supposed to be built back in 2019, however, due to a contract that was disrupted by the design organization and an increase in the cost of construction, the construction of the Palace was postponed to 2021.
Now construction is at the final stage. Works on the main arena have been completed, stands are being assembled, and ice will be filled in the near future.
On the basis of the Ice Palace, it is planned to develop such sports as hockey, including women’s, figure skating, as well as sledge hockey, which is an analogue of ice hockey for people with disabilities.
