Today, June 18, the new head coach of the Ufa football club, Sergei Gurenko, will be introduced to the team. This will happen in Asha, Chelyabinsk region, where the players and the coaching staff arrived at the training camp, the press service of the club reported.
On the eve of the new team coach and CEO Alexander Egorov was introduced to the coaching staff.
Sergey Gurenko started his football career in Neman Grodno. Then he played for Lokomotiv Moscow, Roma, Real Zaragoza, Parma and Piacenza. From Piacenza he returned to the Moscow Lokomotiv. After that, he played for Minsk “Dynamo” and “Partizan” (second league). He played 80 matches for the Belarusian national team.
As a coach, he headed Dynamo Minsk, Torpedo-BelAZ (2010-2012). He worked in the coaching staff of Krasnodar, Spartak Nalchinsk, Amkar Perm, Belgian Standard and the Serbian national team. For two seasons he was the head coach at Dynamo Minsk. In 2021, he headed the Belarusian Shakhtar.
Let’s add that in the coming season, FC Ufa is tasked with returning to the first league, from which the club flew out following the results of the last championship.
