The new Ayaneo Next Lite portable console will run on unofficial SteamOS

Chinese company Ayaneo announced new Next Lite handheld console priced at $299. It will run on the HoloISO operating system, which is an unofficial version of SteamOS used on the Steam Deck.

The device will be equipped with a seven-inch screen with 800p resolution and an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U or Ryzen 7 4800U processor. Both processors have been on the market for four years and offer Vega 8 graphics, as opposed to the superior RDNA2 in the competing Steam Deck. Next Lite will have 16 GB of RAM and a 47 Wh battery. The new console can be pre-ordered within a month, and deliveries will begin on February 10, 2024.

Previously Taiwanese company MSI presented portable gaming console Claw with a seven-inch wide IPS touch display and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The device will go on sale in the first half of 2024 in three versions, the cheapest version will cost $699, and the most expensive will cost $799.
