The Netherlands has taken measures to extradite convicted Spartak footballer Promes

The Amsterdam prosecutor’s office said it has put Spartak football player Quincy Promes on the international wanted list, who was sentenced in absentia on Wednesday by the Amsterdam District Court to six years in prison for cocaine smuggling. Promes’ lawyers plan to appeal this decision.
The prosecutor’s office added that they took measures to extradite Promes and tried to bring him to the Netherlands, but this has not yet been done.
At the time of the verdict, Promes was at a training camp with Spartak in the UAE.
