Demand for builders, engineers and blue-collar workers has sharply increased in Russia
In Russia, the demand for builders, engineers and workers has increased due to the active development of budgetary funds for road construction. This is reported “Kommersant”.
In April 2023, the number of vacancies for builders published by Russian companies increased by 2.8 times compared to the same period last year. The number of vacancies for road workers and engineers also increased by 2.2 times. Work for bulldozer drivers began to offer 2.4 times more, and the need for tractor drivers increased by 86%.
It is assumed that this phenomenon is due to the launch of large road projects, for which the state is going to allocate 13.2 trillion rubles in 2023-2027. At the same time, the increase in the number of vacancies can also be associated with a shortage of personnel. In recent years, there have been fewer qualified workers in the construction industry due to low wages. In addition, another reason for the reduction in the number of specialists was the partial mobilization announced in the fall of 2022.
