The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine announced that the Russian Federation will offer a “Korean” scenario for the end of the conflict

Russia can offer Ukraine to complete the hostilities according to the “Korean” scenario, i.e. without signing a peace treaty, Alexei Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), said on the air of the telethon.
“We are now being offered the Korean version. The so-called conditional “38th parallel”. Here are such Ukrainians, but here not such Ukrainians. The Russians will now invent anything. I know for sure that one of the options that they can offer us is the 38th parallel, ”Danilov said (cited by Strana.ua).
According to him, Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia, is now negotiating this in Europe: he allegedly meets with “politicians of the past” and through them transmits messages that the Russian authorities are “ready to make many concessions in order to fix the status quo, which is now” and force Kyiv to “some kind of truce.”
After the end of hostilities on the Korean Peninsula in the summer of 1953, an armistice agreement was signed, which created the Korean demilitarized zone, which runs along the 38th parallel, dividing the Korean Peninsula into two approximately equal parts. However, the peace treaty was never signed, and North and South Korea are technically still at war.
On November 15 last year, on the sidelines of the G20 summit, which was held in Bali, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the Ukrainian side was putting forward unrealistic conditions for continuing negotiations with Russia. During his speech via video link at the G20 summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on world leaders to support the Ukrainian peace plan and stressed that Ukraine would not agree to a truce and would not make territorial concessions.
