The team of the National Guard Administration for the Nenets Autonomous Okrug brought a sports award from Veliky Novgorod. The silver cup of the championship of the North-Western District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation in swimming was awarded to the Naryanmar residents for second place in the team relay of four x 50 meters, reports the press service of the Office of the National Guard for the Nenets Autonomous District.
In total, more than 80 representatives of regional departments and military units of the Russian Guard took part in the competition, including two masters of sports and seven candidates for master of sports. The gathering place for the strongest swimmers from 11 constituent entities of the Russian Federation was the pool of the Sports-Industry sports complex.
– Senior police lieutenant Tatyana Sofonova showed herself very well in the team relay and in individual competitions. Our team performed with this composition for the first time. Last year we only managed to take fifth place. This year we worked on our mistakes and improved the result. Once again, I thank our athletes for their excellent performance, team spirit and will to win,” said senior lieutenant Alexander Stepanov, captain of the team of the National Guard Administration for the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
