48-year-old Spanish coach Carlos Alos has been appointed head coach of the Belarus national football team. The contract with the specialist was concluded until the end of 2024.
“Until recently, the Spaniard headed the Rwanda national team and broke off a two-year agreement in order to work in Belarus,”— informs Belarusian Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
In the near future, Carlos Alos should come to Belarus and start working with the national team of the country. What tasks the specialist will face as the head coach of the Belarusian national team is not specified.
The Spanish coach in his career led the youth team of the Barcelona football club, the junior team of Kazakhstan, as well as various clubs from Morocco, Poland, Cyprus, Qatar and Kazakhstan. In the Belarusian national team, Carlos Alos replaced local specialist Georgy Kondratyev, who left the national team at the end of June this year.
