The Russian beach volleyball championship ended at the Volley Grad complex in Anapa. Boys and girls under 18 years old took part in the competition. 26 athletes from the Krasnodar region competed for awards.
So, Kuban was represented by 12 girls and 14 boys. According to the results of the tournament among young men, the duo Evgeniy Gritsai and Vyacheslav Lamparter managed to win gold. The guys performed from the Bryukhovetsky municipality and Anapa, respectively. Third place was taken by Sochi residents Viktor Oleinik and Igor Oleinik.
Among the girls, Anastasia Zvereva and Victoria Khromenkova from Anastasia became the best. Third place went to Arina Budzherak from the Abinsk municipality and Ulyana Beregovina from the Kuban capital. According to the results of the team competition, volleyball players from Kuban won 1st place, and representatives from the Moscow and Kaluga regions shared silver and bronze.
Vice-Governor of Kuban Alexander Vlasov commented that beach volleyball is developing in many municipalities of the region. According to him, the students of the Kuban school in this sport are among the leaders in the country. Now in the region there are over 240 athletes professionally involved in this sport.
