Psychiatrist-narcologist Alexei Kazantsev commented on the videos from recent concerts of singer MakSim in Sochi and Tver, where viewers reported the artist’s strange behavior – fans complained about the star’s lethargy, missing the notes, and poor coordination of movements. According to the doctor, the most popular version discussed today – about the singer’s alleged addiction to alcohol, is ambiguous.
“This is a stigma, and it is absolutely biased,” said the doctor. KP.RUnoting that only tests could confirm the fact of alcohol intoxication.
The version about the alleged pregnancy of the singer, which could explain weight gain and, possibly, some health problems, the doctor dismissed: “I personally have not encountered such a form of toxicosis.”
The psychiatrist believes that the reason for MakSim’s weight gain and “inhibition” on stage could be the intake of hormonal drugs or even psychotropic substances, moreover, prescribed by a doctor. The specialist recalled that the singer suffered a severe form of covid, could suffer from hypoxia, which could affect the state of the brain and now requires drug therapy.
“There are drugs that suppress the craving for alcohol. <...> In addition, everyone remembers that Marina suffered from covid in a severe form. <...> It is possible that after that the artist uses psychotropic substances as prescribed by the doctor,” the psychiatrist said, noting that in this case a more accurate selection of the dosage for the patient is required so that there are no such obvious side effects.
