The names of the mascots of the “Children of Asia” games have been announced

VKontakte and Telegram users have chosen names for the mascots of the VIII International Sports Games “Children of Asia”.
The baby mammoth was named Modun, which in the Yakut language means “strong, powerful.” The chipmunk received the name Saina, which translates as “summer”. The authors of these names – Alena Vasilyeva and Gelena Gorokhova – will be awarded branded gifts with the symbols of the Games.
The competition will be held in Yakutsk from June 25 to July 7, 2024 and will bring together young athletes from 25 countries. The Games program will include 24 sports, in which 224 sets of medals will be competed. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that “Children of Asia” is one of the most successful and interesting projects in the field of children’s and youth sports, which unites talented young people from different regions of Russia and Asian countries on sports grounds.
