On January 10, the Vologda Regional Scientific Library will host a concert program “Tales of My Mother Goose.” Viewers will hear the music of Maurice Ravel and fragments of fairy tales by Charles Perrault. The show starts at six o’clock in the evening. Age limit: 12+. Free admission.
The event was organized within the framework of the project “University of Culture. Magical stories around the Christmas tree.” At the beginning of the 20th century, the famous French composer Maurice Ravel created a ballet, pieces for piano and orchestra based on the plots of fairy tales by Charles Perrault and called it “My Mother Goose.” Five pieces by Maurice Ravel for piano will be performed in Vologda. Pianists Irina Kokina and Olga Selezneva will perform them four hands.
