The Murmansk region team won the Northwestern Federal District alpine skiing championship



The Kola Arctic team won the Northwestern Federal District alpine skiing championship. Young northerners aged 12-13 and 14-15 years old competed in the disciplines of super-giant, super-combined, combination and giant slalom, the regional Ministry of Sports said.

The competition took place from February 5 to 10 on the slope of the Kirov Olympic Reserve Sports School for alpine skiing and freestyle skiing. In total, about 120 athletes from the Murmansk region, Leningrad region and the Republic of Karelia competed for medals.

Polar athletes demonstrated decent results. In the team competition, the northerners became the winner.

It should be noted that the region will also take an active part in the winter sports competition. Previously "MK in Murmansk" wrotethat they wished the participants strength and victory.
