The appeal committee of the French Ice Hockey Federation (FFHG) finally validated the file of the Scorpions of Mulhouse, however initially challenged by the National Commission for Monitoring and Management Control (CNSCG) on August 5th. .
In the club’s accounts, more than 300,000 euros were missing from the coffers compared to the forecasts made. Half of last season’s box office revenue was taken to clear debts.
“At the end of its meeting on August 17, the CNSCG decided to sanction the club with a withdrawal of nine points, three of which are suspended from the Synerglace Ligue Magnus classification for the 2022 – 2023 season, as well as a financial penalty. of 15,000 euros”, writes the club in his press release.
Last season, the Scorpions had already been fined 8,300 euros and six penalty points for “non-recognition of transaction or non-compliant recognition”.
The club must now find a way out of this financial crisis but the leaders can breathe: they remain in the Magnus League, the first hockey division in France.
