Deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Anton Gorelkin said that foreign platforms are preventing the distribution of the new Russian video game. Earlier, the media reported that a domestic developer received 260 million rubles from the Internet Development Institute for a video game about the Time of Troubles.
According to the deputy, foreign gaming platforms “will do everything to prevent Russian games from coming to them.”
“And even with such a plot – about the strength and unity of the Russian people,” Gorelkin explained.
The deputy added that the lack of a new game on the Steam platform reduces the potential audience abroad, and the release on PlayStation and Xbox is not announced at all.
