PMC: reports of the death of one of the persons involved in Crocus are not reliable

The executive secretary of the Moscow Public Monitoring Committee, member of the Human Rights Council of the Russian Federation, Alexey Melnikov, commented on messages that appeared on social networks about the death of one of the defendants in the case of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region.

The human rights activist stated that this information is currently untrue. He added that the detainees are in different institutions.

Earlier, information appeared on social networks that two of those arrested in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus allegedly died in pre-trial detention.

Melnikov also noted that terrorists will spend the rest of their lives in a “coffin” (a cell of 4-6 sq.m.). There they will be able to move only in a bent position with their hands behind their backs; contact with them will not be possible.
