The Moscow government will pay material assistance to victims of radiation

Moscow authorities will pay material assistance to residents affected by radiation exposure, reported on the website of the mayor of the capital.
“The payment will be timed to coincide with the anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (April 26). The size of the lump-sum payment will depend on the category of recipients and will range from three to 10,000 rubles. The corresponding order was signed by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
The press service added that it is planned to provide support to 14,875 Muscovites who participated in the liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as those affected by other radiation accidents and disasters.
On February 21, Sobyanin signed a decree, according to which the package of social support measures for family members of mobilized Muscovites also applies to the families of contract soldiers and volunteers taking part in the military operation in Ukraine.
According to social support measures, the families of SVO participants will be able to receive a monthly child allowance in the amount of 100% of the child’s subsistence minimum and a one-time allowance for young parents in a simplified manner. Also, the children of such citizens will be able to enroll in kindergartens out of turn when the child reaches 1.5 years.
