The Moscow City Duma approved the deficit city budget for three years in three readings at once

At a plenary meeting, deputies of the Moscow City Duma adopted the capital’s budget for 2024 and the planning period for 2025 and 2026, reports Interfax.
According to the agency, revenues in 2024 are set at 4 trillion 289 billion rubles, in 2025 – 4 trillion 597 billion rubles, in 2026 – 4 trillion 933 billion rubles. Interfax notes that revenues will grow by 7% annually. Expenses will amount to 4 trillion 790 billion rubles. in 2024, 5 trillion rubles. in 2025 and 5 trillion 143 billion rubles. in 2026. The deficit will be 500.3 billion rubles, 403 billion rubles. and 209 billion rubles. in 2024, 2025 and 2026 respectively.
According to Interfax, spending on social support, healthcare, education, culture and sports will amount to 2.5 trillion rubles in 2024. Over three years, it is planned to spend 7.6 trillion rubles for these purposes. The government intends to spend 616 billion rubles on social support measures in 2023. Interfax notes that the measures will cover about 4.5 million residents of the capital.
