As RTVI agency reports, Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi, in a conversation with journalists, stated that Chisinau has no plans to join NATO.
The head of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry explained his confidence by the fact that today the idea of joining the alliance is extremely unpopular in society.
“At the moment, we cannot talk about membership in NATO, since there is not enough support in society… But the authorities need to continue to conduct this discussion,” Popshoy noted.
As for Moldova’s accession to the European Union, the government of the republic is clearly committed to this process, and there is no doubt about this issue.
