The fashion world is shocked by what happened: with a difference of two days, two great couturiers passed away. First Vyacheslav Zaitsev, then Valentin Yudashkin. The model Alena Kravets, who once started working for Vyacheslav Zaitsev, recalls how designers lived lately, and for some time now began to dress also with Valentin Yudashkin.

– To be honest, I am a person who believes in mysticism. There were two of them, so there will be a third. This is such a law, and I watch with horror what will happen next, – Kravets shared her thoughts with MK. – Of course, one cannot fail to note the resilience of Valentin Yudashkin. I always admire people like Valentin. He did not withdraw into himself, he held on, he struggled with his illness for many years. As far as I heard, she and Marina tried to get treatment not only in Russia, but also abroad. But this is a very complex process. By the way, Vyacheslav Zaitsev also had cancer for a long time … My father-in-law was treated, a close friend is now struggling with the fourth stage … As a rule, there is a temporary remission, but to finally recover is a great success and a rarity, unfortunately. It is impossible not to note the courage of Valentin’s wife Marina, whom I have always admired. Together they did everything possible and impossible, did not give up for a minute. We all rejoiced when Valentin began to go out again, events began, shows in his Fashion House, where I was also invited. Everyone has hope, and that’s it…

Have you worked with both of them?

– I worked as a model for Vyacheslav Zaitsev, I started in his fashion house, he was my guru and mentor. The teacher was strict. They were close friends with Valentine. And that’s great, because in such an environment it’s important to have good friends. Zaitsev, as a senior comrade, helped him, prompted him. And I also talked with Valentin Yudashkin and Marina some time ago, we crossed paths at various events.

Now, of course, I have outfits from Yudashkin and Zaitsev – all kinds of costumes, dresses. Vyacheslav Mikhailovich told me: “You are a white queen, you must dress like a queen.” And from Valentin Yudashkin, I have a dress that was made especially for me for the wedding. Then I had two outfits, one of them according to my sketch, the other from Yudashkin. I really hope that now Yudashkin’s business will be continued by his family, Marinochka.

– They say that Zaitsev had a tense relationship with his son, have you heard something about this?

– I know his son Yegor and granddaughter. And I always wondered how you can not improve relations with dad. Especially when he’s like this. Family ties are very important to me. Children must find an approach to their parents. When I was a model for Vyacheslav many years ago, even then there was a tense relationship between them, there were a lot of moments. And, of course, Vyacheslav, Yegor’s behavior was unpleasant – after all, he is a man of the old school and a certain upbringing. It can be said that the son led a wild life. Egor could not be called a major, but at one time he behaved like that. How could the Fashion House be ruined? It’s no secret that the Zaitsev Fashion House has some problems.

And recently, Zaitsev was generally taken into circulation by dubious personalities and dragged him like a vegetable with them to various events, making money from it. That is, the events sold tickets for a lot of money, especially with seats next to celebrities. And these dubious individuals made money on it. I was once invited to such an event as a media person, but we didn’t even go, we were unpleasant from all this.
