Former Foreign Minister Qin Gang was expelled from the membership of the State Council of China. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to China Central Television.
According to sources, the politician was removed from his post as a member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
Already in July, many noticed that Qin Gang had disappeared from sight. He did not speak publicly for 20 days. Then, a couple of days later, Wang Yi was appointed head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The reason for the ex-minister’s removal may be his extramarital affair in the United States when he worked as ambassador there.
