People close to the couple say that Melanie admitted during a recent trip to New York that she is Jagger’s fiancée.

“Melanie was at the American Ballet Theater and was telling her friends that she was engaged to Mick,” a source told The Mirror. “She’s made it very clear that her ring is an engagement ring and she’s now his fiancée. Her family is also very aware that they are engaged and very excited.”

The source added: “We don’t have wedding plans, but Melanie’s engagement means a lot – that’s what she said. All her friends are happy for her.”‘

The couple, who met at a concert in Tokyo, have a six-year-old son named Devereaux “Devi” Octavian Basil Jagger.
