Deputy Minister of Sports of Russia Azat Kadyrov said that the ministry hopes for the adoption by the State Duma of a bill on the return of beer to sports stadiums.
“We support this topic in general. Today, work is underway to finalize the relevant bill. And we hope that with appropriate revision and decisions of the government, the State Duma will adopt this law,” Azat Kadyrov said. TASS. The sale of beer at sports facilities in the Russian Federation has been banned since 2005. In May 2022, the city authorities allowed the sale of alcoholic beverages with a strength of up to 16.5% in museums, at concerts and sports stadiums with an appropriate license. In January, Alexander Kotov, an adviser to the head of the State Duma committee on physical culture and sports, said that the initiative to allow the sale of beer at stadiums was being considered in parliament.
