The Russian Ministry of Justice added The Bell, Mikhail Fishman, a Dozhd journalist (declared a foreign agent), and six activists of the Ecological Movement 42 to the list of foreign agents.
Also in the register of foreign agents made:
- Rovshan Askerov is a former participant in the show “What? Where? When?”
- Rostislav Murzagulov – former head of the public chamber of Bashkiria;
- Ruben Apresyan is a philosopher.
The Bell was created in 2017 by Elizaveta Osetinskaya (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), a former editor-in-chief of RBC, as well as a former editor-in-chief of Vedomosti and the Russian version of Forbes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice presented a unified register of foreign agents. It included all individuals and legal entities previously declared foreign agents.
