Ministry of Justice replenished register of media-foreign agents. It included journalists, a politician, a political scientist and one publication. In addition to this, the department expanded register of individuals-foreign agents.
The list of media-foreign agents included blogger Kirill Fedorov, editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta. Europe” Kirill Martynov, journalist Sergei Loiko, TV presenter Mikhail Shats, politician Yulia Galyamina and political scientist Sergei Medvedev. The list also includes Novosti Limited Liability Company, the founder of TVK-Krasnoyarsk. Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon, journalist Katerina Gordeeva, former director of the FBK (included in the register of NPO-foreign agents and recognized as an extremist organization whose activities are banned in Russia; liquidated) Ivan Zhdanov, businessman Boris Zimin, musician Andrey Makarevich and political scientist Fyodor Krasheninnikov.
Last time list of media-foreign agents replenished July 29, it included Dmitry Bykov, Evgenia Albats and Dmitry Aleshkovsky.
The Ministry of Justice has been keeping a register of foreign media agents since 2017. Now there are 179 individuals and legal entities on the list.
By law, individuals declared to be foreign media agents are required to create legal entities to submit quarterly reports to the Ministry of Justice. As a rule, such legal entities are also entered into the register of media-foreign agents.
