In February last year, Anastasia Shevchenko received a four-year suspended sentence with a four-year probationary period in the case of carrying out the activities of an undesirable organization in Russia (Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Later, the actions of the activist were retrained for part 1 of Art. 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of an undesirable organization), and the term was reduced to three years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of three years.
According to the prosecution, Anastasia Shevchenko was a member of the Open Russia organization. Great Britain” (recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation) and participated in debates and seminars in accordance with the objectives of this organization.
