The Ministry of Internal Affairs began checking the video with the performance of “Mrs. Beauty of Crimea” of the song “Chervona Kalina”

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Crimea are checking a video in which “Mrs. Beauty Queen of Crimea-2022” Olga Valeeva performs the Ukrainian song “Chervona Kalina”.

“Currently, police officers are carrying out activities aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the materials collected by the police, a decision will be made in accordance with the law, ”RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A video where Olga Valeeva sings “Chervona Kalina” on the balcony was posted on Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) by her friend.

On Instagram, Olga Valeeva said that after that, insults began to come to her, because the girl sang a song that is supposedly the anthem of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (the organization is banned in Russia).

The official anthem of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army is the song “We were born at a great hour” (Ukr. We were born from a great year).

Advisor to the Head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov Telegram called this song a “nationalist anthem” and offered to take the girl “to neutral closer to Nikolaev or Zaporozhye.”

Chairman of the Civic Chamber of Crimea Oleksandr Formanchuk said “RIA News”that the girl’s act requires a “legal response”.

After February 24, Ukrainians began to perform the song “Chervona Kalina” on camera, and upload the video to the network to express support for their country. The flashmob was started by Andrei Khlyvnyuk, who signed up for the territorial defense, the leader of the Boombox group, who recorded the performance of the song on video in early March. Pink Floyd wrote down cover of this song.

On Instagram, Olga Valeeva apologized for performing the song. “Yes! I am Ukrainian! Originally from the Crimea, was born in Belogorsk! I live quietly in Simferopol and raise two children myself! And what do you think, I would take risks, knowing what, as it turned out, this song means? ”, Olga Valeeva wrote.

In September, the Bakhchisaray District Court of Crimea fined organizers and participants of the wedding, which performed “Chervona Kalina”. The court attracted a specialist for examination, who considered that the composition was a “fighting song of Ukrainian nationalists.” From the examination it follows that it is used by the organization of Ukrainian nationalists (OUN) (an extremist organization banned in Russia).
