The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the simplification of the conditions for entering the service – Kommersant

Irina Volk, official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported, that from August 4, entry into the service in the internal affairs bodies has been simplified in Russia. The age limits for those who enter the service for the first time have been changed, the institute of personal guarantee has been excluded from practice, the law will also affect those who previously served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

What has changed after the entry into force of federal law No. 436:

age limits are now determined depending on the special rank assigned upon entering the service (for example, when assigning special ranks of ordinary and junior commanding staff, the age limit is 50 years, the ranks of middle and senior commanding staff, with the exception of the ranks of colonel, – 55 years; earlier only people under the age of 35 or 40 could enter the service);

excluded from practice the institution of personal guarantee in relation to those entering the service;

it became possible to conclude a contract for up to a year without a probationary period for those who previously served and intend to perform special tasks or tasks in special conditions;

those who, in the course of performing tasks under special conditions, were injured and were declared unfit for service due to health reasons, can continue to serve.

The federal law was adopted by the State Duma on July 21, 2023, and approved by the Federation Council on July 28. The President signed it on August 4, the same day he was published and entered into force.
