A representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in a conversation with Vedomosti, said that a ban on foreign ventilators is needed to support Russian enterprises. According to him, local producers are ready to cover the needs of the healthcare system in full.
The explanatory note to the project notes that in Russia the main manufacturers of ventilators are KRET JSC of the Rostec State Corporation and Triton Electronics LLC. Together they can produce up to 36,000 ventilators per year. The average demand for state and municipal needs is estimated at 2.7 thousand devices, the document says.
