Suppliers of lenses under the brands Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue True Eyes have previously begun to notify counterparties of the suspension of imports.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation promises that in the event of a cessation of supplies of contact lenses, the department will promptly consider the issue of including the products of brands that have stopped deliveries in the list of parallel imports,” they said. According to Kommersant FM, Russia is facing a shortage of contact lenses as suppliers of Johnson & Johnson products (the company produces lenses under the Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue True Eyes brands) began to notify opticians about the suspension of product imports.
