The Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to increase the volume of export deliveries to $150 billion by 2030

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia intends to restore the volume of export deliveries in the coming years. According to the head of the ministry, Denis Manturov, in 2030 shipments to Russia’s foreign partners could reach almost $150 billion.
“Despite the current decline caused by the current restrictions, we set ourselves the task of consistently restoring the volume of shipments to our foreign partners in the coming years. And in 2030, in terms of industrial exports, to get as close as possible to the bar of $150 billion,” Mr. Manturov said at a government meeting, presenting the strategy for the development of Russian industry until 2035 (quoted by RIA Novosti).
In order to increase the volume of export deliveries, the Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to continue reorienting commodity flows towards Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. In addition, according to Denis Manturov, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will actively promote the opening of industrial zones in Russia in foreign markets.
“The President earlier this month supported the extension of key export promotion programs beyond 2024. This will serve as a significant support for projects of technological sovereignty, which are focused not only on the domestic market, but also on the external one,” the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade concluded.
According to the Federal Customs Service, Russian merchandise exports in 2022 set a record in history — $591.5 billion. The surplus in trade in goods also turned out to be a record — $332.4 billion. at the end of 2022, for example, crude oil. At the same time, imports decreased by 12% to $259 billion.
