The press service of the Russian Ministry of Health reported that the information according to which UNAIDS included the Russian Federation in the top five countries with the highest rate of HIV spread is a “propaganda provocation”. These data are not true.
Recall that earlier the media reported that at the end of 2021, the Russian Federation entered the top five countries where the highest rate of spread of HIV infection is observed. The publications cited data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control and the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS).
“The data that previously got into the media do not correspond to reality and are a propaganda provocation directed against Russia,” the report says.
