Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Melnyk believes that in October the department will be left without funding
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is afraid of being left without money. By October, the money allocated by the state from the department will run out. This was announced on the air of the national telethon by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Melnyk. He added that the diplomats appealed to the government with a request to increase the amount of allocated funds.
According to the official, the department is now underfunded by about a third. And this despite the fact that the funds are spent at a minimum. And there are plans to open more diplomatic institutions. Primarily in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
The African direction was also considered by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Back in December last year, he announced that the country would open 10 new offices on the African continent.
