The Kazakh Foreign Ministry did not demand that the Ukrainian ambassador to Nur-Sultan, Petr Vrublevsky, leave the country because of his words about the murder of Russians. This was announced by the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic Aibek Smadiyarov, transmits Interfax.

“As we reported, the Ukrainian ambassador is on vacation. The Kazakh authorities did not put forward any demands for expulsion,” he said. The representative of the country’s Foreign Ministry also admitted that Vrublevsky is now consulting with his leadership in Kyiv about his future career.

On August 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan summoned the Ukrainian ambassador because of his words about the murder of Russians. In an interview with Kazakhstani blogger Dias Kuzairov, Vrublevsky stated that Ukraine is “trying to kill as many Russians as possible.” The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, drew attention to the diplomat’s statement. In her Telegram channel, she noted that “only the ambassador of a terrorist regime can say such things.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan protested to Vrublevsky, and also declared “the unacceptability and incompatibility of such statements with the activities of the ambassador.” The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the investigators to evaluate the statements of the diplomat. Later, Vrublevsky apologized to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan for his statements, and the media reported about his departure from the country at the request of Nur-Sultan.
