In Ukraine, criticized the law adopted by the Rada on a ban on the import of Russian books
The ban on the import of books from the Russian Federation into Ukraine is currently impossible due to “a number of reservations.” This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reports TASS.
As the Ukrainian leader admitted, despite the adoption of the law by the Verkhovna Rada, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine did not support it. This is due to the fact that the document violates the Constitution of the country, which guarantees the free development, use and protection of the Russian language.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also criticized the law. The diplomatic department stressed that the law does not comply with the norms and standards of the European Union in the field of human rights.
