Next year, the Ministry of Finance will work out a mechanism for calculating taxes on any real estate of organizations based on its cadastral value. This is stated in the Main Directions of the Budget, Tax and Customs Tariff Policy for 2024 and the Planned Years 2025–2026 (ONBNTTP). “The transition to taxation of real estate of organizations based on the cadastral value of all real estate will be worked out,” the document says. A number of exceptions will be provided – for example, for such types of property as linear, technically complex structures, aircraft and sea vessels and a number of others.

The representative of the Ministry of Finance assured that for now we are only talking about assessing the transition to this taxation format and working out possible mechanisms. “There are no plans to introduce such a measure in the near future. This issue will be studied to assess the possibility of such a transition in the longer term,” he told Vedomosti. A representative of Rosreestr did not respond to the request.
