The Ministry of Finance expects an increase in regional incomes and expenses by 2 trillion

The Ministry of Finance has sharply improved expectations for regional revenues and expenditures for this year and the next three years. The agency predicts that in 2023, the consolidated budgets of the constituent entities will receive 21.4 trillion rubles. The Ministry of Finance provided this assessment in the Main Directions of Budget, Tax and Customs Tariff Policy for 2024–2026. The previous official forecast of the department, which was prepared for the current three-year period, assumed that the regions would receive 2 trillion less – 19.3 trillion rubles. The situation is similar with the expenses of the subjects. Now the Ministry of Finance expects the regions to spend 21.5 trillion rubles. Previously it was predicted that spending would amount to 19.3 trillion.
Expectations for the coming years have also been adjusted upward. Annual estimates of both revenue and expenses for 2024–2026. increased by approximately 2 trillion rubles. In 2024, revenues will increase to 22.4 trillion rubles, in 2025 – to 23 trillion rubles, in 2026 – to 24.1 trillion rubles. The expenditure portion of the consolidated budgets of the constituent entities will increase in 2024 to 22.446 trillion rubles, in 2025 – to 23.048 trillion, in 2026 – to 24.124 trillion.
